A lecturer from BSTU named after Shukhov completed an internship in China
Associate Professor of the Department of Construction and Urban Economy of Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University Andrey Kryuchkov completed an internship at the Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences in Yongchuan, China, with the participation of the China Railway 23rd Bureau Group Co Ltd., a group of companies engaged in the construction of high-speed railways, highways, tunnels and real estate. The trip was made possible owing to a grant as part of the long-term cooperation between BSTU and the Center for International Humanitarian Cooperation.
The lectures were devoted to the history of Chinese architecture, taking into account geographical and climatic features, transport infrastructure of the late 20th century and the present day. The classes focused on "green construction", energy-saving technologies, unmanned aircraft systems in construction, and the use of artificial intelligence in designing structures.
The interns also visited high-rise and infrastructure facilities in the metropolis to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice. At the final lesson on modeling structures, the Russian team built a model of a cable-stayed bridge made of bamboo.
In their free time, the interns visited Chongqing's attractions, visited the zoo and the research center for studying and breeding giant and red pandas, and enjoyed local unique cuisine.
Upon completion of their training, the internship participants received certificates of advanced training.
