A new ventilation and air conditioning laboratory has opened at the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation at BSTU. It has the latest equipment from one of the leading manufacturers, VEZA LLC. Such sites allow the university to conduct practice-oriented classes, including with the participation of industrial partners.
It should be noted that VEZA LLC has a cooperation program with Russian universities, owing to which laboratories are opened in the specialized field of training specialists in the field of heat and gas supply and ventilation. In total, eight such laboratories are already operating in Russia.
Three graduates of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation of the Shukhov Belgorod State Technical University work in the separate division "VEZA-Belgorod". They came up with the idea of cooperation with BSTU.
"I am a graduate of this university and I know how the university invests in students. I wanted to give something back. We place our hopes on the next generation of young personnel, which we will raise together with you. We need smart specialists, and this cannot be achieved without high-quality education. The university provides students with pedagogical resources, and we provide material and technical resources," said the head of the separate division of VEZA-Belgorod, Alexander Kubatin.
The curator of the laboratory at Shukhov BSTU was an engineer of the separate division "VEZA-Belgorod", a graduate of the department, Alexander Poddubrovsky. He performed all the calculations of the estimate, supervised the installation of the equipment.
"It is a great joy to open a laboratory at our home university, which trained us. I studied for four years in the field of heat and gas supply and ventilation. It is a great pleasure to see my teachers and create a material and technical base for the development of the department. I believe that the invested funds and efforts will help students develop and gain the necessary knowledge," the specialist said.
Head of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation at BGTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Valery Uvarov emphasized the importance of joint work on training young personnel for production.
"We responded with joy and believe that we made the right decision. We discussed and developed the laboratory equipment and the set of equipment together," said Valery Uvarov.
As part of the opening of the laboratory, BSTU named after Shukhov and VEZA LLC signed a cooperation agreement. The parties will implement joint research projects, educational programs in specialized areas, develop educational programs and methodological complexes, exchange information and technologies. The enterprise can organize internships for students, and will also provide a production base for advanced training of the university academic staff.
