BSTU named after Shukhov opened two new dissertation councils
Two new dissertation councils for the degree of Candidate of Science and Doctor of Science have been opened. The corresponding orders were signed by Deputy Minister of Science of Russia Dmitry Pyshny. Now the Technological University has seven dissertation councils.
The creation of new dissertation councils helps to form a reserve of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions in the region and attract qualified personnel capable of developing and implementing innovative projects to high-tech sectors of the economy.
“Training, attracting and retaining promising highly qualified personnel in the industry with the potential for scientific activity is an important aspect for the development of high-tech industries in the Belgorod region. The scientific and technical products developed in dissertation research are being successfully used by large industrial and construction enterprises,” said Uliana Shapovalova,director of the center for training highly qualified personnel.
In addition to the new ones, there are five previously opened dissertation councils in several specialties: "Technology of silicate and refractory non-metallic materials" and "Colloid chemistry" (chairman - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Evgeny Yevtushenko); "Heat supply, ventilation, air conditioning, gas supply and lighting" and "Building materials and products" (chairman - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Valery Uvarov); "Machines, aggregates and technological processes" (chairman - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Tatyana Duyun); "Regional and Sectoral Economics" (Chairman - Doctor of Economics, Professor Yuri Doroshenko); "Management of the life cycle of construction objects" (chairman - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ruslan Lesovik).
