Dear students, academic colleagues and staff members of Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov!

I sincerely congratulate you on Russian Science Day! This holiday symbolizes respect and recognition of the contribution of scientists to the development of society, economy and culture of our country. Science has always been and remains the driving force of progress, and your work plays a key role in this process.

Russian Science Day has been celebrated on February 8 since 1999, in honor of the foundation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, established by decree of Peter I in 1724. During this time, Russian scientists have made a huge contribution to the formation of an objective picture of the world and improving the quality of life of all mankind. Today, we continue this glorious tradition, striving for new discoveries and innovations.

BSTU named after Shukhov is not only the largest educational, but also scientific center of the region. Our scientists and students work on projects in various fields of knowledge, such as construction, architecture, information technology, ecology and much more. We are proud of our achievements, including patents for new technologies, publications in leading international journals and participation in major research projects. Over the past year, our university has undergone important strategic changes aimed at strengthening scientific activity. We have opened new laboratories and centers, attracted young talented researchers, expanded the list of industrial partners and international cooperation ties.

I wish you, dear friends, new ideas, interesting projects and successful research! May your work benefit society and strengthen the status of our university as a world-class scientific center. I wish students perseverance and determination in studying sciences, and teachers - inspiration and energy to pass on their knowledge to the younger generation.
