"Art Bridge: Dialogue of Cultures"
Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov is a venue of the VIII International Art Forum. Painters, graphic artists, sculptors, designers and students of art universities from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait - in total, the forum brought together about 40 participants. Together with foreign guests, representatives of the BSTU Architectural Institute take part in it.
The subject of the plein air event in 2023 is "Art Bridge: Dialogue of Cultures". The plein air participants get their inspiration from getting to know the university, visiting the sights of Belgorod. City landscapes, urban studies, faces of students and citizens help them to create creative works. Participants-artists have already presented their works, sculptors will be the next.
Rector of the Technological University Sergei Glagolev gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Painting Forum. He gave awards to 23 foreign guests for participation in the forum, and three senior academic staff members of the Department of Design of the Architectural Environment of BSTU : member of the Union of Artists of Russia Yuri Bondarev, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Alexander Serdyukov, Inna Kudinova.
“Art has always united people, regardless of their nationality, religion and political views. Creativity has no boundaries, because through the prism of creativity you can share your vision of the world, supporting the aspirations of students and teachers from all over the world, for whom creativity is not just a hobby. BSTU named after Shukhov is rich in historical and cultural traditions, and therefore has long become an excellent platform for strengthening friendship between creative people of different nationalities,” Sergei Nikolayevich emphasized.
Let us remind that the organizers of the International Painting and Sculpture Forum are the Center for International Education and Cooperation and the Institute of Architecture of BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov. Ambassadors, speakers, inspirers were the Chairman of the Association of Artists of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Khalil Almadhoon and Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture Osama Elserwy.
