Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov will cooperate with a university Mali
Rector of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov Sergei Glagolev and Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik organized a working trip to Mali. Together with the flagship university of the Belgorod region, the visit was made by the South-Western State University of the Kursk Region, the Chelyabinsk Pedagogical University, and Grozny State Petroleum Technical University named after Academician M.D. Millionshchikov.
The result of the working trip was the signing of a memorandum between BSTU named after Shukhov and Ahmed Baba University. The document is valid for five years. The agreement involves expanding cooperation between Russian and Malian universities, as well as implementation of practical, scientific and cultural programs in the countries where the universities operate. It is planned to open a Russian language center at Ahmed Baba University, on the basis of which bilateral academic mobility will be organized.
In addition, BSTU named after Shukhov and Ahmed Baba University will implement projects, including international grants, jointly publish scientific and educational literature, hold conferences, olympiads, organize a summer school “Study + Leisure”, etc.
“We are one of the first universities which started to explore the southwestern part of Africa. Taking into account the events taking place in the Middle East, we need to expand the boundaries of cooperation in order to increase the number of foreign students,” commented Ruslan Lesovik, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of BSTU named after Shukhov.
