Russian gave me a lot of opportunities
In 2022, the Department of the Russian Language and Intercultural Communication under the leadership of E.N. Legochkina organized an international online marathon to popularize the Russian language in the world "The new generation chooses Russian!". The main goal of the marathon is to talk about the Russian language, Russian culture and the opportunities provided to students at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
More than 60 people from different countries took part in the marathon: Germany, Ghana, Syria, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Ecuador, Morocco. Every week, the participants performed creative tasks, some of them willingly joined the PFI telegram channel to participate online in further events of the faculty. The winner of the marathon was a participant from Ghana.
“The marathon confirmed that the Russian language and Russian culture are of interest to the world. We will continue to popularize our beautiful language, expanding the audience,” Elena Lyogochkina, head of the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication, summed up the results of the marathon. “I really liked participating in an unusual marathon, it was interesting and informative.
