The Institute of Serbian Language and Communications of BSTU named after Shukhov, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to Russia and the Ministry of Culture of  Belgorod oblast, held the VI Belgorod International Children and Youth Creative Festival-Competition “Window to Serbia”. The partners of the event were the Belgorod amusement park “Kaleidoscope” and the Tourism Administration of Belgorod oblast.

The event brought together more than 80 people and was held in a mixed in-person and part-time format. This made it possible to attract participants and jury members both from Russia and abroad.

“We received applications from Russia, Serbia and Austria. The geography of the Serbian participants turned out to be especially wide: young people wrote to us from cities such as Backa Palanka, Vršac, Belgrade, Drugovac, Aleksinac and Vranje. We can say with confidence that the competition attracted the attention of the Serbian public. After its completion, many schools approached us with a request to invite them to participate the following year,” shared Victoria Ryapuhina, the main organizer of the competition, director of the Institute of Serbian Language and Communications.

Among the members of the Board of Judges were candidates of art history, professional teachers and directors, heads of theater studios, actors, diplomats, and honored cultural workers. The contestants were distributed by age groups. Participants competed in recitation literary works in the original or in translation, performing musical works, theatrical performances and plastic-choreographic compositions, multimedia works, artistic translations of poems or prose, original essays, visual arts and photography.

It was not easy for the Board of Judges to determine the best of the best, but in the end, first, second and third degree winners were selected in various age groups, and the Grand Prix was also awarded.
