Winners of the 2024 Student Contest Announced

On November 19, the final of the 2024 Student Contest was held at the Student Palace of Culture. The event was dedicated to the Day of the Russian Higher School Teacher, International Students' Day, and the 70th anniversary of the university.

This year, 12 participants competed for victory: 6 young men and 6 young ladies. The jury members, the administration, directors and deputy directors for cultural and educational work of institutes, as well as support groups gathered in the auditorium.

Before the final, the contestants went through several stages: sports and intellectual, which for the first time in the history of the competition was held in the format of "Shukhov Battles". The participants competed in short popular science presentations about the inventions of Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov, and the winners were given the opportunity to visit his engineering heritage sites in Moscow.

For the final show, the contestants prepared videos with the general theme “My University” and creative performances. Vocal and instrumental compositions, modern and folk choreography, poetic and theatrical performances created a stunning atmosphere of the holiday, which ended with an evening fashion show.

By decision of the judges, each participant became the best in one of the nominations, but viewers could also influence the results. The winners in the “Internet Voting” nomination were determined by them – Ksyusha Muravieva (ITOM) and Alexander Bulgakov (ISI).

The winners in various nominations were: in the “Intelligence” nomination - Elena Miroshnik (IITUS) and Alexander Bulgakov (ISI); in the “Sport” category - Ly Ta Vanh (CMO&S, ITOM); in the nomination “Creativity” - Yulia Logvinova (ISI) and Roman Perunov (KVT); in the Rector's Prize category - Maria Shashkova (IEM) and Daniil Serdyuk (TTI); in the category “Prize from the Board of Judges” - Ksenia Farion (AI) and Vadim Levensky (IITUS); in the “Speaker” nomination - Polina Grechikhina (TTI); and in the nomination “Best Video presentation” - Ksenia Muravieva (ITOM) and Danila Polikarpov (ChTI).

Based on the results of all stages and the show program, Polina Grechikhina (TTI) and Danila Polikarpov (ChTI) became the best of the best. Students of the Year 2023 awarded diplomas, ribbons and statuettes to the winners of the competition.

 Student councils also competed in the level of support, and the most active ones received a certificate for a sweet gift from our catering facility. The winners were the student councils of the College of High Technologies and the Institute of Chemical Technology.

The winners and prize winners of the competition become participants of the regional competition "Miss and Mister Students of the Belgorod Region" and have a chance to represent the Belgorod region at the All-Russian competition.
