BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov continues to actively expand its international ties, focusing on cooperation with the People's Republic of China. A vivid example of successful collaboration was the internship of university representatives at Chongqing University of Science and Arts, which took place in October.

As part of the program organized by the Center for International Humanitarian Cooperation and Development, a long-standing partner of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, under the leadership of General Director Yin Bin, Dmitry Obernikhin, Associate Professor of the Institute of Social Sciences, and Maria Ageikina, Assistant to the Vice-Rector, completed the internship.

The Chinese university administration warmly welcomed the Russian guests and prepared a busy schedule for them. It combined theoretical classes with on-site practical training at operating enterprises and factories in Chongqing region. This allowed the interns not only to gain relevant knowledge but also to see its application in the real economy.

The educational program focused on cutting-edge technological trends: the use of robots in agriculture, the development of driverless cars using China as an example, the history of artificial intelligence and its potential for the modern era, the specifics of industrial information databases and their seamless integration into full-cycle technological processes, the evolution of high-speed monorail trains in China, the emergence and development of neural networks and GPT services, as well as metadata processing and future prospects for the development of information technology.

Each lecture was conducted by an expert in their field—including full-time university academic staff members, visiting professors from other Chinese universities, and industry practitioners. Upon completion of the intensive course, all participants received certificates of successful completion.

A key outcome of the visit was a business meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Zhang Hailun, and his colleagues. During the meeting, the parties gave presentations about their universities and discussed potential areas for collaboration. The Chinese students were particularly interested in the opportunity to complete a language and cultural internship in Belgorod, which opens up prospects for developing academic mobility.

This internship marked a significant step in strengthening scientific and educational ties between the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhovn and Chongqing University of Science and Arts, laying a solid foundation for future joint projects and programs.
