Scientists from BSTU and Pakistan discussed new approaches to water treatment

Department of computer software and automated systems of the Institute of information technology and control systems at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov held international scientific seminar with professor of COMSATS university (Islamabad, Pakistan) Zakhir Hyssein. The mixed-formal event brought together more than 20 academic staff members, postgraduate students and other students of university.

Professor Zakhir Hyssein delivered a report on the subject “Stability of MHD-flow of termocapillary nano-liquids with the liquefaction effects during shifting: Chebyshev  collocation method”

The research presented was of interest in the context of possible application of magnetohydrodynamic processes for the solution of the problems of removing metallic  impurities from water.

Research of their resistance allows to deepen the understanding of physical mechanisms, which can be in demand for solving applied tasks of water treatment.

 Cooperation of scientists of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov with professor Zakhir Hussein has lasted for several years. During this period, the results of joint research have been published in 10 scientific articles in ranked jounals.

 Following the seminar, the participants discussed further research lines, including scientific issues related to liquid filtration. Based on the discussion, it is planned to prepare a joint scientific publication.

Magnetohydrodynamic flows, emerging during the interaction between the liquid and magnetic field, represent scientific interest for the development of perspective approaches to control flow and studying filtration processes. Studying its stability contributes to deep understanding physical mechanisms, which may be used for solving application problems of water purification.
