A lecturer and graduates of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov climbed Mount Elbrus.

As part of the 9th Elbrusiada and in anticipation of the 55th anniversary of the Department of Construction and Urban Management at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, department lecturer Sergey Drokin and university graduates climbed Mount Elbrus.

The group included Sergey Nikolaev Shevchenko, President of the Belgorod Federation of Mountaineering and Rock Climbing, a member of the SVO, President of the Association of Alumni of BSTU named after of V.G. Shukhov, and a 1978 graduate, as well as Alexander Vayuta and Artur Grigoryan, graduates of the department's class of 2012.

During the climb, the flag of the Department of Construction and Urban Management was raised to an altitude of 4,700 meters.

The university notes that the climb symbolized the continuity of generations of graduates and faculty at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, uniting representatives of different generations and professions in anticipation of the anniversary of the department.
