International students from Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov participated in the "Living in Belgorod" excursion project. During the trip, the young people visited sites related to the local history and also learned about modern educational, sports, and technology facilities.

One of the highlights of the tour was a museum dedicated to the Battle of Prokhorovka. The participants saw unique artifacts from the Great Patriotic War, including a fragment of a melted T-34 tank engine discovered by search teams from Stary Oskol District during the research. This exhibit bears witness to the severe battles that took place in Belgorod Region.

The students also learned about the heroic deeds of Senior Sergeant Mikhail Borisov. During the Battle of Prokhorovka on July 11, 1943, he was able to destroy seven German Tiger tanks. For his courage, Borisov was awarded the title «Hero of the Soviet Union».

The next stop on the program was "School 21," an educational project in the field of information technology. The tour participants learned about the educational environment, visited classrooms, and shared work areas.

The students also visited the phygital center located in Berega Park. There, they learned about trends that combine traditional sports and digital technologies and were introduced to modern opportunities for physical education and eSports.

The excursions are part of events dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The "Living in Belgorod" project is in the second year of the implementation in the Oblast capital. Over a thousand people have participated in it so far. In 2026, 20 excursion routes have been prepared for university and college students.
