A visit of a delegation from the Republic of Mali

On May 18–19, 2026, a delegation from the Republic of Mali visited the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. The delegation included representatives from higher education institutions and industrial enterprises: Dakite Daouda, President of Techno LAB-ISTA University (Bamako); Adivako Hamane, Secretary General of Techno LAB-ISTA University; Diwara Moussa, President of SOMAB LLC; and Dramé Salimata, Commercial Director of SOMAB LLC. At a meeting with Ruslan Lesovik, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation, including the implementation of joint educational programs in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Geodesy, and other fields, as well as the organization of internships and academic exchanges for students, graduate students, and faculty staff.

The meeting resulted in signing a cooperation agreement. Acting Rector of BSTU, Sergey Glagolev, noted the high level of organization and hospitality during the visit of BSTU delegation to Mali, he reported on the results of the cooperation achieved, and expressed confidence in its successful continuation.

The guests visited the university departments and the High Technology Center, appreciating the modern technical equipment available. They emphasized that the experience of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov will contribute to the development of higher education and science in the Republic of Mali.

The visit included a tour to the town of Prokhorovka – a historical place the "Third Battlefield Field of Russia".
