BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov strengthens scientific cooperation with Malaysia

Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov took part in the third meeting of the Russian-Malaysian Working Group on Education, Science and Technology, which was held at Tomsk Polytechnic University. The platform has become a key coordination mechanism for cooperation between the two countries in the scientific and educational field.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo, the administration of the Tomsk Region and relevant departments of Malaysia took part in the discussion. In total, representatives of more than 50 universities and scientific organizations of the two countries joined the work. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Airat Gatiyatov, and the Malaysian delegation was led by Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia Anesee Ibrahim.

BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was represented at the event by Vice Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik. As part of the business program, he also held working meetings with Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, and Leonid Sukhov, Acting Rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

 The participation of the University in the Group work is aimed at developing international cooperation and strengthening the university's position in the scientific and educational space.
