I congratulate you on the Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year!

For the first-year students, this day signifies a turning point—the beginning of a long journey into the profession. You have chosen engineering, which means you have chosen the path of creation, responsibility, and continuous development. Today, the most talented and motivated students are applying to be students of Belgorod State Technological University V.G. Shukhov, and we are glad to welcome each of you.

Being an engineer goes far beyond just possessing knowledge; it also means being able to think big, make decisions, and be responsible for the results. This is precisely what Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov, a person, whose name is given to our university, was like. His heritage is not only technical discoveries but also an example of service to the cause, the country, and the people.

Education at our university is more than just professional training. It is the development of a citizen, an individual capable of taking responsibility for the future. We are proud that BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov remains a ground for growing engineering talent, a place where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.

In the new academic year, I wish all students to have brave ideas, diligence in their studies, and faith in their abilities. Do not be afraid to make attempts, ask questions, and participate in projects—the university provides every opportunity for this.
