Discussing global educational initiatives

Sergey Glagolev, Acting Rector of BSTU named after Shukhov, took part in a meeting of rectors and representatives of Russian and foreign universities, which was held today at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

The meeting was opened by MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov and Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of the World Andrey Belyaninov. Among the speakers are Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Ali Nasser Mohammed, President of the Republic of Yemen, Adnan Badram, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The meeting participants discussed the organization of the international forum of universities of the partner countries of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World, the creation of the World Council of Rectors, the development of the international university ranking system, scientific and educational cooperation.
