Foreign students were reminded of the importance of compliance with the Russian legislation
On September 25, the annual meeting of foreign students with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Belgorod Region was held at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. The main topic of the discussion was compliance with migration legislation.
Representatives of the regional department for migration issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reminded students of the need to comply with the norms of the migration legislation of the Russian Federation, explained the procedure for registration of migration registration, visa extension and obtaining an education.
An invited guest from the immigration control department spoke about the main violations for which foreign citizens may be held administratively liable, as well as the consequences of such actions.
A representative of Police Department No. 1 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Belgorod emphasized the importance of complying with Russian legislation and ensuring the safety of foreign students in the country.
A representative of the Center for Fighting against Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Belgorod Region reminded about the consequences of illegal actions, extremism and terrorism, and also spoke about precautionary measures and the need to inform about possible manifestations of extremism. The students were presented with a detailed algorithm of actions in case of a terrorist threat.
At the end of the meeting, students were able to ask questions of interest to them. In particular, they were interested in combining employment and education, the advantages of obtaining a temporary residence permit with the purpose of education, the specifics of obtaining permanent residency, and how to recognize extremist intentions of third parties.
At the final part of the meeting, the guests were presented with letters of gratitude on behalf of the rector.
