Partnership with Serbia: From Academic Exchange to Joint Projects
Ivan Milic, a representative of the State University of Novi Sad (Republic of Serbia), is visiting BSTU named after Shukhov. He arrived to deliver an open lecture, meet with students, and participate in the All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation, "Current Issues in Combating Corruption," in the lead-up to International Anti-Corruption Day.
At the meeting with the university leadership, prospects and specific areas for future collaboration were discussed. Acting Rector Sergei Glagolev noted that Serbian universities and organizations remain reliable partners and good friends of the Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University, and despite the reduced frequency of visits, cooperation continues to actively develop and be implemented through various projects. Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik and Director of the Institute of Serbian Language and Communications Victoria Ryapukhina participated in the discussion.
A cooperation agreement has been in effect with the University of Novi Sad since 2018. Since then, our universities have engaged in faculty exchanges, translation and expert collaboration, and joint research, resulting in the publication of monographs in Russia and Serbia.
BSTU students are studying at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad for their master's degree in Power Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications (Electric Power Systems) and Architecture under a special scholarship program from the Government of the Republic of Serbia for study and professional development at Serbian public universities.
To attract international students and promote the Russian language and culture, Institute of Serbian Language and Communications at BSTU, together with its partners in Novi Sad, has also held a number of cultural and educational events in Serbia.
