Representatives of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov delivered scientific reports at Xi'an University.
Representatives from Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov (BSTU) took part in celebrations dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) and the 70th anniversary of establishing the university through the merger of four educational institutions.
During the visit, Professor Olga Averkova, Head of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation, and Professor Konstantin Logachev attended the general assembly dedicated to XAUAT’s anniversaries and the celebratory concert, and took part in specialized academic events.
A congratulatory address was conveyed to their Chinese colleagues on behalf of Sergey Glagolev, Acting Rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The university representatives also presented their colleagues with BSTU-branded items, commemorative souvenirs, and congratulatory materials.
One of the key events was an international conference on sustainable development in architecture and technology, attended by Olga Averkova. The conference included a roundtable discussion focused on sustainable development in the fields of education, construction, and architecture.
The program continued with an academic seminar featuring representatives from the XAUAT State Key Laboratory of Green Building, Termez State University of Engineering and Agrotechnology, and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
During the seminar, Olga Averkova presented a report on improving the efficiency of dust-extraction ventilation systems for hoppers used in the pneumatic storage of powdered materials. Konstantin Logachev also delivered a presentation on this topic.
The meetings also focused on promising areas for future cooperation between the universities. Participants discussed opportunities for implementing joint scientific and educational projects, as well as fostering innovation-driven collaboration within the framework of the international "Belt and Road" Initiative.
