Results of Sergei Glagolev's working visit to Abkhazia
Acting Rector of Shukhov Belgorod State Technical University, Sergei Glagolev, conducted a working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia. During the visit, the head of the Technological Department met with representatives of several agencies to strengthen partnerships.
Sergei Nikolaevich met with Mikhail Shurgalin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia, and Tatyana Stepanova, Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office. At the meeting with the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office, the parties summarized the results of the 4th International Interuniversity Educational Exhibition, in which the university participated from November 13 to 14, and discussed prospects for further cooperation.
The visit also included meetings with Vice President of the Republic of Abkhazia Beslan Bigvava, Minister of Education Hanoi Gunba, Head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia Police Colonel Damei Avidzba, and General Director of the Abkhaz Railways company Arsou Chitanava. The parties discussed the training of specialists for various agencies, the shortage of engineering personnel, and the potential expansion of cooperation, including the possibility of concluding research agreements in various areas (from construction to the information technology of organizations).
As a reminder, BSTU named after Shukhov is committed to close cooperation with relevant agencies of the Republic of Abkhazia. At the IV International Interuniversity Educational Exhibition in Sukhumi, Technolog presented its educational programs. As Sergei Bulgakov, Director of the Institute for Recruitment Organization and Management at the Shukhov Belgorod State Technical University, noted, Abkhazian youth are actively interested in engineering fields of study, including topics such as unmanned aerial vehicles and artificial intelligence.
