BSTU named after Shukhov continues to strengthen and develop cooperation with Chinese universities. In November, BSTU Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik visited Hulunbuir Institute, with which the flagship university of Belgorod oblast has a long-standing partnership.

During the working visit, the heads of the Chinese and Russian universities, who are directly involved in developing cooperation, were honored. Hulunbuir Institute First Secretary Li Wenge and Rector Zhang Yuzhu were awarded honorary professorships, while BSTU Acting Rector Sergey Glagolev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik, and Director of the China Center for Culture, Science, and Education Maxim Poloz received certificates of honor for their significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.

At the working meeting, the parties agreed to sign an agreement on the joint training of Chinese undergraduate students in a dual degree program in Civil Engineering, with the first enrollment beginning in September 2026. Furthermore, the Department of Real Estate Economics and Management at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov will annually conduct a professional development course for Chinese students, the "Winter School of Construction Engineering," beginning in January 2026. The parties also discussed the possibility of providing ongoing Chinese language training to faculty and students at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, beginning in the spring of 2026.

An exchange of undergraduate and graduate students in construction is planned, with the aim of learning the specifics of working with Chinese and Russian laboratory equipment. Following these internships, students will receive certificates of successful completion, and joint research papers and articles will be published in specialized journals. The first student exchange is planned for the summer of 2026.

All of these projects will be included in the program of the China Center for Culture, Science, and Education, established at the V.G. Shukhov Belarusian State Technical University. These initiatives are aimed at expanding international cooperation, improving the quality of the educational process, and creating conditions for mutually beneficial scientific and cultural exchange.
