WORKING VISIT OF BSTU TO CHINA

Delegation of Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov is on a working visit to the People's Republic of China. On November 21, representatives of the flagship university of Belgorod region visited the 13th secondary school in the city of Luoyang: this key base for teaching the Russian language in Henan province has about 3,500 students, of which about 300 are studying Russian.

The Chinese party was represented by the school's First Deputy Director Song Jiantao, Deputy Director of Teaching and Learning Hu Guanhui, Deputy Director of Public Relations Zhang Chao and Party Secretary Wang Yuxiao.

Belgorod delegation organized a meeting with Russian-speaking students, during which Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik introduced the children to the university and the assistant of the Department of World Economy and Financial Management Xu Zhenpeng, showed a film about BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov. The students greeted the guests from Russia with warm applause and were able to ask questions about life in Russia, Russian culture, educational features, etc.

As part of the working visit of Belgorod delegation, the parties discussed the opening of the Russian language center at BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov on the basis of the 13th school in Luoyang and the organization of a summer language school in the city of Belgorod.

 At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. The parties expressed their readiness for close cooperation.
