Postcrossing is communicating and meeting new people through postcards all over the world. 16 people from the Belgorod postcrossers club signed more than 300 postcards and sent them to different parts of the world to show friendship between the countries of Serbia and Russia.

The event took place within the walls of BSTU named after Shukhov and was scheduled in coincidence with the celebration in Serbia, Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina of the “Day of Unity, Freedom and National Flag”, dedicated to the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki Front on September 15, 1918 during the First World War.

“Such kind of events are in demand in Belgorod and help to strengthen friendly relations between our countries. On the postcard layout we placed a painting made by a participant in the “Window to Serbia” competition. Girls in national costumes of Russia and Serbia perfectly convey our unity with our brotherly country,” said Victoria Ryapukhina, director of the Institute of Serbian Language and Communications.

BSTU named after Shukhov has been maintaining close and friendly relations with partners from Serbia for 30 years. BSTU students from Serbia proudly told guests about the history of the holiday and its importance for their people.
