In cooperation with partners from China
International cooperation in the field of education is a joint activity of educational institutions from different countries. This format allows Russian universities to increase the efficiency of training future specialists and makes education more prestigious. For several years now, BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov has been actively cooperating with Linyi University (China).
Cooperation formats
Russian and Chinese universities are implementing the "1+1" program for the Master's degree program "International Business". The first year of study is already ending, students are studying at the Linyi University Business School, and in the autumn of 2025 they will be expected in Belgorod.
A delegation from BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov, headed by the head of the Department of World Economy and Financial Management Alexander Troshin, is currently in China. During the negotiations with the leadership of the Chinese university, promising areas of cooperation were discussed, including the applied aspects of implementing a joint bachelor's degree program "World Economy" in the direction 38.03.01 "Economics" in the "2+2" format in English.
The "2+2" program assumes that students study at Linyi University for the first two years, and then continue their studies and receive a diploma at BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov. This format will allow you to gain deep knowledge in the field of global economics, master Russian and English languages, and immerse yourself in two different educational systems.
Sport as a part of physical education
During their stay in China, Belgorod teachers attended the grand opening of the 2025 Linyi University Athletics Games. Holding Sports and Athletic соntests in China is an important part of physical education, which is of great importance for lecturers and students and helps to strengthen physical fitness, tempers the will, cultivates team consciousness and love for work. Linyi University fully supports sports, combining it with moral and intellectual education.
The event itself amazed with its scale, spectacle, organization and enthusiasm on the part of both teachers and students, including those who were at the stadium and took direct part in the sports competitions, and those who cheered for the athletes in the spectator seats.
Getting to know the business community
The university trains specialists who then come to work at enterprises. Therefore, the quality of training of future employees meets the employer's requirements, and, consequently, the demand for a university graduate in production depends on the effectiveness of mutual feedback. Therefore, a meeting with representatives of the Chinese business community - the heads of Huaqiang Group - was organized for the Belgorod delegation.
Today, global manufacturers of building materials are focusing on China. The leadership in the production of building materials in China belongs to Huaqiang Group. The company has consistently won more than 200 honorary titles, including "Best National Demonstration Market" and "Best Market Management Institute in China". Actively expanding its global warehouse and logistics networks, Huaqiang Group plans to enter the Russian building materials market, which explains the company's increased interest in training specialists at Linyi University under Russian educational programs.
Development of educational services
Expanding the forms of international cooperation between higher education institutions is an important aspect in the development of the educational services sector. International cooperation significantly enriches the activities of the university, expands the scope of interests and practical results in science, educational and methodological work, personnel training, and promotes the involvement of the team in world culture.
Knowledge of the processes taking place in the global economy allows future graduates, regardless of their training profile, to analyze global economic trends, predict changes in world markets, and develop approaches that can adapt Russian business to modern requirements.
