A project by scientists from the Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University has been selected for a federal forum.

A project by young scientists from the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov has passed the expert selection process at the federal forum "Strong Ideas of the New Time," organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. From 48,385 applications received from all 89 regions of Russia, experts selected the best projects, including the BSTU development.

The  authors of the project were Danil Rulev, a graduate student and engineer at the Innovative Scientific, Educational, and Experimental Industrial Center for Nanostructured Composite Materials (INOiOPC NKM), and Danil Potapov, an engineer at the INOiOPC NKM who is preparing to enter a post graduate course.

The team is developing a SaaS platform for predictive analysis of building materials properties. The technology is designed to process data and predict material characteristics, which can be used in research and optimization of laboratory processes in the construction industry.

The project previously won a prize in a university accelerator. Passing the federal expert selection process allowed the team to present its development to the broader professional community.

The research is being conducted within the framework of a scientific school led by Valeria Strokova, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. The project authors are also implementing Russian Science Foundation Project No. 23-19-00796-P.

Experts from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives noted the high level of project development, the clear product architecture, and the feasibility of its implementation. The team's deep expertise in laboratory processes and building codes was particularly noted.

After passing the expert selection process, young BSTU scientists were invited to the forum and presented their development in Nizhny Novgorod.

The "Strong Ideas of the New Time" forum brought together over 1,700 participants—representatives of government, business, education, science, and the non-profit sector, as well as experts in economics, technological and social development, urban environment, and ecology.

During the event, Danil Rulev and Danil Potapov presented the results of their work on the platform and discussed the development with the relevant expert community.
