BSTU students at the forum “Arctic. The ice has broken"

Serbian students David Stojisavljevic (Department of Sociology of Management, Institute of Economics and Management) and Strahinja Malesh (Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens) represented BSTU named after Shukhov at the International Forum “Arctic. The ice has broken,” which took place in Arkhangelsk with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

Over 400 volunteers, representatives of the business community, students and schoolchildren-eco-volunteers from Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, Serbia, Slovakia, Moldova, China and Mongolia took part in the forum. Over the course of five days, participants proposed initiatives and developed projects for the development and study of Arctic territories.

The key event of the forum was the plenary session “Development of strongholds in the Arctic: new challenges.” Educational events, round tables, planting trees in the future “Alley of Regions”, the start of the fourth cleaning season as part of the “Clean Arctic” project, a “Green Deeds Marathon” of the All-Russian environmental movement “Ecosystem”, a visit to “Victory Train”  mobile exhibition as well as to the largest industrial enterprises of the region were organized for the participants, including the sports race "Path of the Heroes" and support events for the participants of Special Military Operation.
