BSTU delegation in China: trip to Linyi city
Delegation of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov is on a working visit to the People's Republic of China. Here the Belgorodians meet Chinese partners and hold meetings with the leadership of the country's educational institutions. On November 29, guests from Russia visited the university in Linyi, Shandong Province.
Let us note that Linyi University was founded in 1941 and occupies the largest area among universities in all of Asia - 1.1 million square meters. As a partner of the Center for Services to Students Abroad (under the Ministry of Education) of China, it implements international educational programs. At the end of November 2019, the leadership of Linyi University visited BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. As a result of the meeting, the Chinese Ministry of Education issued a license to implement a joint educational project to train bachelors within double-degree program majoring in “Machinery manufacturing” and “Automation”.
The BSTU delegation was met by the vice-rector of the university Zhang Lifu, director of the center for international exchanges and cooperation Jiang Zhaozi, secretary of the party committee of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Manufacturing Ren Fan, director of the Institute of Business Wu Zofeng, deputy director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Manufacturing Sun Xuemei, deputy director of the Institute of Business Gong Jing, assistant director Institute of International Studies Xi Yunhu, Head of the Cooperation Department Wang Xiaoyan.
The host warmly received the Belgorod representatives, and Vice-Rector Zhang Lifu expressed special gratitude to the Russian party for their active support of the joint training program and the selection of the best lecturers to teach in China. Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik noted that the interaction between the two universities has become a model of Chinese-Russian cooperation in the field of education and universities are ready to strengthen work in this direction.
In the afternoon, representatives of the delegation spoke with Linyi University students who participated in the joint double degree program, after which they met with lecturers sent by the university for the joint educational program. The topic of discussion was the search for solutions to problems that arose during the implementation of the project.
Also, at the invitation of the leadership, BSTU delegation visited the Institute of Business. The issues of organizing a joint master's program in 38.04.02 “Management” (profile “International Business”) were discussed.
As a result, the parties agreed to finalize a version of the cooperation agreement in the near future and make every effort to launch a joint educational project.
