BSTU delegation in China: visit to the cities of Zaozhuang and Jinan
The university delegation is on a working visit to the People's Republic of China, where it continues to get acquainted with Chinese partners and holds face-to-face meetings with the leadership of the country's educational institutions. Belgorod representatives have already visited the North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower in Zhengzhou, as well as the Louhe Vocational and Technical Institute in the city of Louhe. On November 27, the delegation visited two cities in Shandong province: Zaozhuang and Jinan.
Zaozhuang University in Zaozhuang was represented by Party Committee Secretary Gao Feng, Vice-Rector An Tao, Director of the International Exchange Office Chu Fuming, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Liu Zhenyu.
Before the meeting, Party Committee Secretary Gao Feng received and greeted the delegation of BSTU named after Shukhov and Vice-Rector for International Affairs Ruslan Lesovik, emphasizing the importance of friendship between the two countries and the contribution of universities to the development of education.
The parties presented the general situation in educational institutions and highly appreciated the level of training of foreign specialists. Zaozhuang University showed great interest in the joint master degree program offered by BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov, and agreed to actively promote its development.
The Belgorod delegation also visited Shandong University of Engineering and Technology in Jinan. It is one of the key professional education universities in Shandong Province. The Chinese side was represented by Vice-Rector Wang Shouguang, Head of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation Wang Weijiao, Head of the Department of Admission and Employment Ma Shijun, Director of the Institute of Business Liu Jie.
Accompanied by university leaders, the Belgorod delegation visited various laboratories, including classrooms for automated equipment, CNC machines, a robotics automation laboratory, and a laboratory for big data management terminals.
About 26 thousand students study at Shandong University, 70% of them are undergraduate students. An important part of the discussion was the architectural design program - Belgorod and Chinese universities are ready to expand exchanges and cooperation in this area.
