On December 7, a solemn ceremony of awarding activists of the volunteer movement of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov took place in the conference hall of the High Technology Center. Not only the volunteers, but also their parents received letters of gratitude on behalf of the rector of the university, Sergei Glagolev, for their worthy upbringing.

50 students, including foreign ones, who take an active part in volunteer work, received awards from the hands of the honorary citizen of Belgorod, chairman of the united trade union committee of the university Georgy Golikov.

But the most important reward is the gratitude of the people who receive help. This year, due to the current situation, our university established a temporary accommodation center for residents of the town of Shebekino. The university still receives letters of gratitude from residents. The StudLife team voiced one of these letters from Shebekino resident Alexander Dubrovsky and showed it in a video.

The event was scheduled to coincide with the Volunteer Day, which is celebrated in Russia on December 5. This is a celebration of people who help others without asking for anything in return. The volunteer corps has been working at BSTU since 2015, and since 2017 it has been a member of the association of volunteer centers of Russia.
