UNIVERSITIES AND THE FUTURE

Rector of BSTU named after Shukhov Sergei Glagolev took part in the International Forum “Universities and the Future”, which was held at the Intellectual Center - Fundamental Library of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The event was attended by more than 100 rectors and representatives of foreign universities in China, Vietnam, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Egypt and other countries. The organizers of the scientific and educational forum were Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Russian Union of Rectors.

The focus was on issues of education, ecology and health care. The meeting participants are positive that it is the culture and education which constitute the basis for the development of innovation, therefore it is necessary to ensure the internationalization of education, science and technology. Only through the unification of the scientific community can modern challenges be overcome.

The meeting participants discussed the role of universities in understanding global processes and outlined priority areas for joint work aimed at deepening international relations in the field of education and science.
